Carried by the Current II continues an exploration of movement, connection and the experience of being carried forward by forces both within and beyond our control.
Here, the current becomes more dispersed and unpredictable. Sweeping layers of blue, turquoise and white intersect with warm ochre and flashes of orange, while repeated marks appear and recede through the composition. Forms seem momentarily caught within the flow before being released again.
Created intuitively through layered paint, gestural mark-making and partially obscured forms, the work leaves space for individual interpretation. It reflects on movement through life — the unexpected encounters, changing directions and moments of uncertainty that become part of the journey.
