Endurance explores the quieter, heavier side of resilience — the strength required not to overcome everything, but simply to keep going.
Sweeping ochre, burgundy and black forms circle through the composition, accumulating layers, interruptions and weathered passages as they move. Areas of abrasion and broken pigment suggest the marks left by experience, while a warmer inner curve continues its path through the darker, weighted forms.
There is no clean return to what came before. Instead, Endurance considers resilience as the capacity to carry what has happened and continue — changed, weathered, but still in motion.
Part of the Abstract Echoes series, the work translates the human experience of virtue into gesture, colour and surface rather than literal representation.
