Trust Reimagined explores trust as an act of openness — a willingness to move forward without seeing or knowing everything that lies beyond.
A blue orchid fills the canvas, extending beyond its edges and revealing only part of itself. Layers of Prussian blue, ultramarine and cobalt turquoise create depth and luminosity against a warm ground of burnt sienna and muted ochre. Rather than using white to create light, transparent layers allow colour to emerge from within the petals, shifting subtly as the surrounding light changes.
At the heart of the flower, delicate botanical forms offer quieter symbolism. Tiny stamen-like forms suggest reaching hands — an understated gesture of connection, vulnerability and the act of placing trust in another.
Part of the Reimagined Virtues collection, Trust Reimagined asks the viewer to move closer. Its symbolism is not immediately declared, but gradually discovered: a reflection of trust itself, which often begins before everything can be fully known or understood.
